Listen to the direct impact of the current care infrastructure on our communities. Better understand Maine’s paid family and medical leave and childcare policy efforts and wins from people who advocated over the years.

Visioning in community

It’s time to dream big! The future of care is going to take creative and radical thinking from everyone in our community. Now is the time to look ahead and think beyond what is possible today.

Keynote address

Josephine Kalipeni

As the Executive Director of Family Values at Work (FV@W), Josephine Kalipeni is striving to expand the network of grassroots coalitions that are building the power to win paid leave at the state level – with a commitment to win at the federal level by 2030. Since taking the helm in 2019 – with the belief that caregiving is the silent driver of poverty for workers – she has worked to center those who are most impacted.

Closing & networking

Destie Hohman Sprague

Thank you for imagining a Maine that cares with us. After this event we will continue to build our community of change makers. We welcome those in Hallowell to stay and connect with one another over hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar.
